TEACHING EXPERIENCE

6 years of teaching 7th & 8th grade ELA, and 8 years of high school tutoring experience. I'm also a National Writing Project consultant and writing team coach. I'm constantly involved with both the middle and high school "worlds", and I love all of these grade levels and their quirks!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach with a lot of technology and student-centered projects! I flip my ELA curriculum when I can, and create units in which students drive their own learning. Student motivation is very important to me, and we spend time in class talking about why the lesson matters to their futures.
