I have been a preschool teacher, director, and most recently, an assessor for a state QRIS system where I conducted Environment Rating Scale (ERS) and CLASS observations. I am now a consultant and continue to do observations using ERS and CLASS for continuous quality improvement and professional development.

Hello! I'm happy you're here and welcome you wherever you are on your quality improvement journey. I hope my resources can help support you and provide you with a wealth of information.

I have done hundreds of infant, toddler, and preschool observations in all types of programs: from one-room rural programs to metropolitan programs with 15+ classrooms. The beauty of assessment tools like the Environment Rating Scales is that they work in a variety of programs including Head Start, faith-based programs, corporate childcare, public school settings, for-profit or non-profit, and even Montessori ;)

As I've done these observations over the years, I've seen the great need for equity to resources about the Environment Rating Scales. This store is an opportunity for me to share the information I know about ERS and channel my creativity by designing resources that will support teachers on their quality improvement journey. My goal is create a more holistic learning experience rather than provide teachers with a checklist of what they should do during an observation.
