TEACHING EXPERIENCE

9 years high school Biology and Pre-Advanced Placement Biology

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in a student-centered, student-driven classroom. In our class, we learn using mastery. Students must first master a concept before moving on to the next concept. It is important for students to be in charge of their learning, so I am always trying to come up with new ways to get them in the driver seat. I also believe that those who do the most talking and doing are those who are doing the most learning. So, we do lots of interactive activities in which they work together in order to master the material.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

No awards and honors for teaching yet! But that would be awesome!
