By LMB Literacy After teaching First Grade ESL for 8 years, last year I moved to Fifth Grade and my heart is content! I love the little ones, but I also love to have engaging conversations with the older students. Last year we piloted the departmentalizing model (similar to middle school) and now I teach writing all day which is truly my passion.
As a writer myself, my goal is to instill a love for writing into my students. Since I teach all different levels, as well as ELL I use many visuals and draw on real-life experiences to engage my students. All of my products will link back to writing in some way, shape or form. My goal is to create little authors without them even realizing they are learning to love literacy.
