TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am getting ready to enter my fifth full year of teaching in North Carolina. I am certified in five areas which include English as a Second Language, Middle School Social Studies, Middle School Science, Middle School Language Arts, and Middle School Math. This past year, I taught 7th Grade Science and Social Studies in the Randolph County School District. For the 2014-2015 school year, I will be teaching Math, Science, and Social Studies I believe in creating a classroom environment that incorporates the three R's of rigor, relevance, and relationships. I have a strong passion to see students get on track in literacy and to develop higher-level critical thinking skills.

I live in Kannapolis, North Carolina where I was born and raised. I have always had a tremendous passion for history and literacy. I am a certified teacher in five areas in North Carolina. I enjoy every minute of seeing students learn. My goal is to challenge students to learn while also teaching them to enjoy the opportunity to learn.
