TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 16 years. I have taught all grades, prek through 12th grade. I started my teaching journey in 2008, teaching 3rd grade. Since then, I gained my art certification and have been teaching art at all levels. I have been a classroom teacher, lead art teacher, department chair for Visual Arts.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have been studying and implementing the choice-based art theory for ten years. I have used this at all levels, allowing the young artist to choose and expand on their interests and learn in an authentic way. I have also implemented project-based learning models into the classroom, combining choice and PBL together.
