Description

Motivate your students to review by having them revisit all of their material from the year and identify one thing from each unit that will help them survive the zombie hordes. Students must describe in detail how they would put information or a skill learned in your class to use surviving a post-apocalyptic scenario or fighting off zombies. Students must provide a diagram also.

My students love zombies and get very creative with this activity. They become very motivated to review their notes, labs and projects to find something that would be helpful. It also challenges them to convert theory into a "real world" application.

This is usually a 2-3 day in class activity before the end of year assessment. An excellent way to break up and inject some creativity into the review process.

8th grade NC Science units are outlined in this document. But this can easily be changed to fit your curriculum.
