What educators are saying

Students were interested in creating their own invention and this laid it out well for them. Gave a challenge to those looking for one in class.

Description

This is a week long simulation where your kids will become inventors! Students will read about the process of inventing, creating a small business, getting an investor and more.

They take the knowledge they gain each day from the readings to invent something, take their items to a small business, they will pitch their product to investors, do math to figure out finances, and create a billboard advertisement.

Includes:
-Reading about inventors and inventions
-Create your own invention page
-Reading about small businesses
-Figuring out the profit from their small business based on how much they sell for and how much it costs to create. (step by step multiplication and subtraction)
-Reading about pitching to an investor
-Creating a pitch to have an investor invest in their product
-Teacher Rubric and questions to ask to grade pitches
-Getting an investor and figuring out finances (step by step multiplication and subtraction)
-Reading about creating a successful billboard
