Writing and Language Common Core Standards Assessment Record Grade 3 ELA

This is a comprehensive list of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Writing and Language for 3rd Grade. Presented in a chart form, it allows teachers to keep track of the major assessments and scores given to each student along with their semester goals. The document is in Microsoft Word format so it is fully customizable to your particular needs. I have had similar products for math and reading that I have used for years but this is the first time I've created a comprehensive writing assessment record for CCSS. I have used the math and reading assessment records as essentially my grade book. I meet regularly with students to discuss their goals and scores using these sheets. I also use them during parent conferences and at the end of the year I send home a copy of these sheets for each student. As we are still relatively new to the Common Core standards, these sheets help me learn the standards and allow me to better organize them in my thinking. They can also be used just as a quick reference to the standards as this is all the writing and language standards on one page.
