What educators are saying

Well planned out work, engaged students and made my life a little easier. I am in Australia so our standards are not the same. I am happy that I purchased this resource.

Description

This handout helps students brainstorm ideas for what to write in an artist's statement. Students discuss their learning and summarize their artworks linguistically. This checklist is a great starting point for helping students become comfortable talking about their artwork, what they created, and what they have learned. Students can title their artwork, and reflect on the learning process at the end of a unit. The artist statement is a great way for students to participate in self reflection and for teachers to better understand students intentions in their work. The artist statement worksheet is a great assessment tool for teachers to use with their students. This resource contains a planning page, guiding questions page, and blank artist statement pages for students to use for their writing. The product also offers differentiated writing pages with lines spaced for younger and older students.
