Writing Process: Self-Check and Peer Review

After students have completed the planning stage for an essay or paper, you can use this sheet for students to use as a rough draft. There are questions on the left margin they must address and reflect on, questions for a peer reviewer to complete, and some space for your feedback at the bottom (which I would recommend not doing until they've addressed issues they saw in their reflection and the peer review).

I use these with Document-Based Essays and Mini-DBQs, but they could be used in any content area. I included PDF and Word version of the files. Enjoy the resource, don't forget to let me know how it went.
