What educators are saying

I love all of these notebooks and if time permitted, would do them all! We were not able to get through all of this notebook but the students loved the hands-on activities and the break just writing and reading.
This is one of my favorite resources. I use it every year! It was simple and easy to use. Very informative for the students.

Each of the 26 lessons includes a photo of the finished product, teacher’s notes, teacher’s instructions, and student pages (templates). You will find that all of the information needed to begin teaching these concepts is in here. I have also included a version of each template that is blank so you can adapt when necessary.

I’ve included the Common Core alignment for Writing and Language for grades 3-6 and included that in the preview file as well.

This is TRULY an *interactive* notebook with templates that fold and flip for the students to interact with. This product is NOT simply pages and pages of definitions and descriptions for students to glue into their notebooks.

I've also included a PowerPoint file that includes ALL of the blank templates from this notebook in a format that you can edit digitally. If you are reasonably fluent in PowerPoint and know how to add text boxes and insert images, you can easily edit any template for use in your own classroom.

**UPDATE** 8/13/16 - I've added a file titled "Alternate Exemplars Simplified.pdf" - this document includes lower grade level exemplars (writing samples) for you to use with your lower grades students in third grade or as a modification.

**UPDATE** 6/17/14 - This product has been updated to include the 7th and 8th grades Common Core Alignment. If you teach these upper grades, this notebook is absolutely relevant for you if you are looking to improve your students' sentence structure and paragraph writing. However, keep in mind that you will need further resources for expanding your writing lessons to research papers and essays.

This product download is a ZIP file that will extract a folder that contains 4 files:
