What educators are saying

Thank you for all of the hard work you do to make teaching easier for the rest of us. This product is exactly what I was looking for.
My students loved this resource. It helped them organize their ideas and to start writing their adaptive fairy tales. Some of my students were struggling with the assignment before I gave them this packet. The packet helped to jump start their creativity.

Description

Fractured fairy tales take the traditional fairy tales that you know and change them. Elements such as the characters, setting, point of view or plot might be changed.

What is included in this resource?

Graphic Organizers:

* Prewriting brainstorming (2 worksheets)

* Planning Story Elements

* Planning Story Sequence

* Comparing Stories

*** An informational sheet about fractured fairy tales is also included.

Mini-LapBook:

Students will select a traditional fairy tale and write a new fractured version of the story they have selected. The new fractured tale along with character portraits describing the hero(ine) and villain are incorporated into a castle LapBook-Mini. All student printables are in b/w. No color ink needed. Kids add the color. Each lap book is made with half a file folder.
