Writing Conference Form - 6+1 Traits of Writing

Created by Eric Triche. This is a great form to use for writing conferences. There is a space for six separate conferences. Each conference looks at conventions and one other writing trait (covering the 6+1 traits of writing - voice, word choice, conventions, presentation, fluency, ideas, and organization). You can decide how many peer conferences students must complete for a writing piece. You can also assign particular writing traits to be discussed in conferences. The checklist is in kid-friendly language, and it can be used as a guide to mini-lessons on the traits of writing.
