What educators are saying
Description
Independence plays such a role in our lives as Primary Teachers. We want students to be independently thinking and reflecting on their work.
I created these writing checklists for my own 1st graders for our Work-on-Writing time during Daily 5. With these checklists, students’ work was more focused and developed. As students worked, they would grab a checklist and staple it to the corner of their writing. Before sharing writing with our class or asking for a friend’s feedback, students were expected to reflect on their own work.
