Description
Celebrate World Water Day with this great bundle pack of projects! Begin your unit by reading A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park. The novel study challenges students to examine the world water crisis and propose solutions. The World Water Day brochure and flipbook resource is the perfect compliment to assist students as they wrestle with solutions to this urgent need.
The info sheets will generate class discussion on the water crisis, and the trifold brochure project is a fun way for kids to show what they've learned about economic and physical scarcity. There are three flip books featuring different types of water solutions: sand dams, borehole wells, and rainwater catchment. Students will learn all about each system as they assemble the flip books.
The World Water Day Brochure resource includes editable pages so you can customize the date year after year.
Answer keys are included! The flip books come in color or black and white.
Additional activities include:
*World Map Activity--color the areas that are experiencing water scarcity
*Persuasive Writing Prompt--Clean Water for All!
