Each student is presented with a printed message, then asked to determine which words are relevant in that message, to be written down on a "sticky note". The first 10 slides scaffold this skill by providing your student with a list of words to choose from, when determining which words are most relevant to the message. The next 10 slides provide the message, but allow your student to practice this skill independently, without choices.
Your student will improve working memory while recalling details, and simultaneously recognizing the most important words in a message.
