Description

This product includes 120 vocabulary words for middle school (and possibly 9th grade students) to master. After every ten words a test is provided. I suggest taking a week to review for each test to ensure students fully understand all of the words before the test is administered.

*Words chosen are a mix of tier one and tier two words likely to be used in everyday life and in texts the students read.
*Each word is presented in context asking students to figure out the meaning before looking up the definition.
*Each word is presented on a sheet asking students to also identify synonyms and antonyms of each word.
*Students are asked to determine the parts of speech for each word as well as identify other forms the word may take when the part of speech is changed.
*After every ten words a test is provided. Tests require students to understand the words and not simply match words to definitions.
*Each test assesses not only the current ten words being studied but 5-10 words that were previously studied.
*Study guides for all tests are provided
*Tests and Study Guides are provided in editable form so you can modify as necessary.
*Word wall cards are provided for display in the classroom. (Cards are provided in numerical order and in sets of five in case you would like to print with different colored paper and have words alternate in color.)
