Word Work with Diagraphs & Blends

This ActivInspire flipchart will allow children to independently work in their Daily 5 Word Work center with a focus on diagraphs (ch, sh, th) and 'r' & 'l' blends. These 3 main objects have separate activities to match. This allows you to use this flipchart over several days.

Children will be building words, reading words to make a match, and sorting pictures by their sounds. The pages include an opportunity for the children to receive feedback on their work without a teacher. Remember, you are probably reading with a child or a small group while they are working. :) In addition, the children can travel easily by themselves from skill to skill. If a child is absent, you can always print out the pages and send them home to complete. **You need to have the software ActivInspire installed to open and use this flipchart. However, once you have the software, you do not need to have an ActivBoard to use the lesson in your classroom. A projector connected to your computer will work too! However, it will turn this into a teacher lead lesson...unless your student are pretty fluent with using your computer.
