Word Study/Phonics Continuum of Skills

This product is a checklist for teachers to use in word study and phonics instruction. This continuum will inform your instruction based on observations of what students know how to do.

The continuum is a set up in order- a progression of skills through phonemic awareness into phonics. Use the checklist for individual students, or your class as a whole, to check off skills that have been mastered and then move on to the next skill necessary to create powerful word-solvers and spellers.

This checklist is very useful for students in the RtI process, pinpointing a scope and sequence of skills that need to be mastered to close the gap.
