Use these activities during Women’s History Month or on International Women’s Day or any time of the year to widen your students’ understanding of female musicians and the instruments they played: piano, violin, guitar, drums, flute, cello, and saxophone.

Your students will use a laptop, tablet or smart phone to search online for information about each female musician:

  • year of birth and death,
  • place of birth,
  • colleges attended,
  • family life,
  • instrument she played,
  • other interesting things from her life.
