What educators are saying

This was a perfect exercise to demonstrate different stakeholders. The students enjoyed the activity, a good balance of independent and group work.

Description

Inspired by the College Board's AP Lang 2019 Windmill Synthesis prompt, students will participate in a community stakeholder meeting where they will be assigned a community role member's role with opinions about potentially converting the state of Georgia to primarily windmill energy.

Students will look through sources to gather evidence based on their role's opinions, then work together to host a meeting where they present their ideas and mix and mingle as their roles.

Students will practice synthesis and argumentation in this fun, interactive role play activity.
