    Description

This bundle includes five "Response Journals" that assess each act of The Tempest. The Response Journals all focus on one reading skill to accompany the instruction of the plot of the play. The Response Journals teach students to write in structured paragraphs to explain various topics from the play.

The bundle also includes five quizzes that each assess individual acts and scenes from the play. The quizzes asses the skill introduced in the Response Journal that goes with each act.

Here is an overview of the skills taught by each act of The Tempest:

    • Act I - Focus on Settings and their impact on the play
    • Act II - Focus on Citations and how to use in-text citations in MLA
    • Act III - Focus on Summarizing major events in the play
    • Act IV - Focus on Characterization (focus on Prospero as a hero or a villain)
    • Act V - Focus on Plot Diagram and Theme, as well as beginning an essay that is focused on explaining a theme of choice
