What educators are saying

For my really small school, I always try to change around resources, and I'm excited to have a new and fun introduction to one of my Shakespeare units. Great product!

Description

There are two activities in this pack to introduce your students to William Shakespeare or supplement your Shakespeare or British Literature drama unit. They can be used consecutively or independently. The questions included on the viewing guide are more open-ended, broad questions that allow students to watch and digest the info from the film and note what they remember or infer to be significant about Shakespeare.

Included:
- Links to several video biographies online - paid and free. (I use the Shakespeare in London DVD.)
- Video viewing guide with stunning graphics. The viewing guide is written generally enough so that it can be used with any biography over Shakespeare. They do require students view the film - read a biography or search online - in order to answer the questions, but the questions are not “nitpicky” questions that require students to scavenger hunt through the documentary writing down something at every frame. I like for students to watch and be on their toes, but also enjoy watching as well. Answers are provided.
- The Footprints of Shakespeare: Allusions to Shakespeare in Popular Culture Activity. In this activity, students match allusions to Shakespeare with his great works! This is an excellent way to follow up the video. Answers are provided.
-NEW: Link to Google drive worksheets!
- Super Simple Sub Sheet
