Description

This low-prep 6-session Anxiety middle/high school counseling small group counseling program aims to empower students to gain self-awareness of their bodies and stress responses. This curriculum helps to normalize the experiences students have when under stress and helps to teach students meaningful strategies to use when faced with stress and anxiety. Some of the strategies taught are mindfulness, diaphragmatic breathing, STOP, Laddering, and much more! Students learn about the how and why behind anxiety and the usefulness of strategies. These lessons will teach students how to better manage their anxiety triggers and create a plan for the next time anxiety sneaks up.

What's included: This curriculum includes student self-assessments, 6 easy to follow lesson plans (objectives, outline, materials list, ASCA standards alignment), visually engaging google slides, and student workbook to enhance learning. Sessions include:
