Description

Motivate your 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders to keep up with their independent reading with this no prep reading log. The editable version enables you to personalize this "Weekly Reading Log" with your favorite book titles and your own grading rubric. Guidelines are provided that will help your third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students apply the conventions of English grammar every day when they fill in their reading record (title, author, days of the week, date, and genre).

Here is What is Included:

  • Three choice of printable covers.

- One features titles of some children's literature classics on a bookshelf.

- Another cover displays a mix of current favorites.

- A third has blank book spines for students to label with their own favorite

titles.

  • Three different versions of the printable reading record page.

- One with a 4-point grading rubric provided, and space to record each

book's genre.

- Another record page provides space for recording each book's reading

level. This page also provides the 4-point grading rubric.

- A third record page leaves the grading rubric blank, so you can personalize

it with the expectations you have for your students.

  • An editable Google Slides version of the "Weekly Reading Log" covers and record sheets, allowing you to set everything up exactly the way you want it.

  • A "How to Fill In Your Reading Log" page to provide your students with the guidance they need while learning the conventions of English grammar (title, author, days of the week, dates, genre).

  • A "What Genre Am I Reading?" reference sheet to help your students quickly identify the category, or type, of books they are reading.
