What educators are saying

The students I work with love when I do science experiments during speech and language therapy and always ask for more!
My students had such a fun time doing this lab! It was a great hands on way to explore weathering and erosion I truly think this helped them understand it a lot more.

Description

This activity guide is FULL of engaging and hands-on opportunities for students to explore weathering, erosion, and deposition! Students will use CANDY to demonstrate how the earth's surface changes through experiments and labs.

Included in the bundle are:

*Teacher prep instructions with all materials listed for labs

*THREE experiments, including lab sheets (one for each: weathering, erosion, deposition)

*THREE follow-up quizzes, including answer keys (one for each: weathering, erosion, deposition)

*A flow-chart (compatible with interactive notebooks) to demonstrate how the 3 processes work together to change the earth's surface

All labs utilize the steps of the scientific method, and include charts and tables for illustrations and descriptions. Labs also include background information at the beginning of the experiment to activate students' prior knowledge. This lab is a perfect follow-up to reinforce the concepts introduced in my lesson on constructive and destructive forces. Check it out here: Weathering, Erosion, & Deposition: Constructive & Destructive Forces Lesson.
