    Description

The Life Cycle of a Snowflake Reader's Theatre leveled scripts and Vocabulary Cards BUNDLE

Included in this BUNDLE: Three scripts Levels 1, 2 and 3 plus matching Vocabulary Cards covering the science terminology underlined throughout the scripts.

Make your science standards come alive with these engaging Reader's Theatre plays designed to help your students learn about the water cycle, as well as solids, liquids, and gasses as they follow the journey of a few snowflakes through their water cycle. These fun, leveled scripts reinforce reading skills, science standards, science vocabulary, fluency, and speaking and listening skills.

Students will learn how snowflakes form as they travel through the three stages of the water cycle: precipitation, evaporation, and condensation. They will also learn about how heat from the sun contributes to this cycle as the snowflakes turn from solids, to liquids, to gasses with fun characters and enjoyable dialogue.

Each script has 8 roles with larger speaking parts identified. You could easily combine narrator parts for less roles or add additional snowflake parts for more roles and split up those lines to accommodate your class or reading group size.

These scripts are rich with science vocabulary and explanations about the stages in the water cycle. Science vocabulary is underlined throughout the scripts to reinforce science content and understanding and 16 matching vocabulary cards are included in this bundle with cute images, kid friendly definitions, and parts of speech.

Having leveled scripts allows you to meet the needs of all of your readers while still covering the same science content. To understand how our scripts are leveled:

(*This is just an approximation- you know your students best and where they are at with their reading so adjust as needed)

Level 1 scripts are aimed at meeting the needs of your "below grade level" readers (grades 2nd-4th) or higher level readers for 1st grade with simplified explanations of science content.

Level 2 scripts are aimed at meeting the needs of your "on grade level" readers (grades 2nd-3rd) or "Below grade level" readers (grades 4th-5th) covering the same content but with slightly more complex science explanations.

Level 3 scripts are aimed at challenging your "above grade level" readers (grades 2nd-3rd) or "on grade level" readers (grades 4th and 5th) with more in-depth science explanations and content.

This BUNDLE would be a great tool to use in guided reading groups or in science centers. To extent it further, you could have students design backdrops and props and perform their plays for their classmates or families, which is always fun, making their learning come alive!

*Little Lyrical Learners scripts are leveled to meet the needs of all readers within your class. Levels range from 1 -3, getting more challenging the higher the number.
