Washington, Hero or Villain?

Alright, to be clear, I love George Washington. LOVE. I originally made this assignment because my students were teasing me about how much I love him and I wanted to give them the option to dig up some dirt on him -- which is mostly centered around his slave ownership, so be prepared to introduce that to students.

This assignment is self paced for students where they research Washington's background in order to determine if he's someone worthy of the praise he receives. Students can either search pre-provided sources, or if they have the skillset, the internet, then finally cite evidence to support their final claim.
