Workplace Safety

MAKING SAFETY A PRIORITY

Objectives: Students will be able to:

· Explain how often workplace accidents occur.

· Identify to which age group accidents occur most often.

· Explain who is responsible for safety in the workplace.

· Describe five (5) common causes of workplace accidents.

· Identify the three kinds of workplace hazards and give examples of each.

· Describe five (5) strategies which help prevent workplace accidents.

· Explain the purpose of OSHA and the rights of employees under OSHA laws.
