Description
If you are teaching election theory through Discrete Math, Applied Math, or any other courses that has voting theory as a unit, this unit bundle is right for you! This unit covers the following and should take about 1 90-minute day to complete the lesson:
- An Introduction to Elections
- Plurality and Borda Count Methods
- Plurality-with-Elimination and Pairwise Comparisons Methods
- Fairness Criteria & Arrow's Impossibility Theorem
In addition to notes, each lesson besides Intro to Election includes a review sheet and "Quick Check" formative assessments that can be used as a quiz, exit ticket, or warm-up. There is a summative assessment at the end of the unit. Assessments are NOT editable and there is not a "study guide" at the end of the unit (although the Review sheets for each lesson may be used as study guides). Please see the preview to get a glimpse of the unit!
