    PRACTICE READING MANUAL BLOOD PRESSURES

Reading manual blood pressures can be difficult. Students often struggle with reading the sphygmometer. Use this digital worksheet to practice reading blood pressures so students can become proficient at taking a manual blood pressure.  Great for in person or distance learning. This product contains 22 different blood pressure readings and can be used as a digital or print resource. YOU CAN EDIT!!! Need to add more practice? Want to change a slide? You can add or edit slides through the Theme Builder view in Google Slide. Simply change the position of the needle to create a new blood pressure.

PRACTICE READING A BALANCE SCALE & WEIGHT CONVERSIONS

Are your students struggling with reading a balance scale? This digital worksheet provides students the opportunity to practice reading a standard balance scale used in most medical offices. Students can read the scale in pounds or kilograms. After students have practiced reading the scale they can practice balancing the scale with drag and drop weights. Finally students will convert pounds to kilograms, kilograms to pounds, ounces to pounds and pound and ounces to kilograms.

    This resource includes:

    • 20 scales that students have to read
    • 9 scales that students have to balance
    • 40 conversion problems

    PAIN SIMULATION LAB

Looking for a fun activity for your pain, vital sign unit or sensory unit? This is it! Your students will love this hands-on activity with minimal prep and supplies. It is difficult to teach students about assessing pain because everyone responds differently. In this lab students will be subjected to the same noxious stimuli for the same amount of time. Then compare and contrast how students respond differently by evaluating how they rated their pain on a 0-10 pain scale. This lab includes Teacher Instructions, 10 Delay cards (like Monopoly Chance Cards), 2 You’re Nurse is Awesome cards, Numeric Pain Scale printable, 5 funny scenarios about why students are in pain and 6 blank cards. This lab is a demonstration lab and does not come with a lab report or any assessment of student work. This lab is to demonstrate that pain is subjective and open discussion for how people respond differently to pain.

If you are using this lab in your anatomy class it is great for reviewing neurologic pain and pain pathways.

VITAL SIGNS PRACTICE WORKSHEETS | DIGITAL OR PRINT

These three vital signs practice worksheets allow students to self check their vital signs readings when measuring temperature, manual pulse and respirations and manual blood pressure. These are FULLY EDITABLE. You will receive a copy of the worksheets in Google Slides and you have full editing rights!

Students work with a peer to verify their readings. If students are not within range of each other they must take the reading again. Students repeat this until they are within range of their partners. This allows for student led learning and allows the instructor to spend more time circulating through students to check for understanding.

The worksheets can be used digitally, students can type directly into the Google Slide table OR they can easily be printed to a standard 8.5x11 paper.
