Valentine's Day is around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by engaging your students in some STEM and STEAM fun? This low-prep Stem Stumper challenge will have your students engineering while celebrating the season of love. In this challenge, students will be tasked with building the longest possible paper heart chain out of only 5 large pieces of paper. The included Powerpoint and Google Slides presentation will provide interesting background knowledge on chains and links to capture the students' interest. Students have 5 minutes to plan on their planning sheet, and 15 minutes to build! Then teams measure their heart chains and reflect on their work. The team with the longest chain is awarded celebratory certificates!
