Description

Valentine's Day Activities for Rhyming: : a fun matching activity for your Valentine's Day literacy centers! Students match the rhyming pictures and then complete a cut & paste worksheet! These cards can be used in small group or as an independent center. These cards are great for pre-k or kindergarten students learning to recognize rhymes or produce rhymes! Use them in conjunction with a "The Biggest Valentine Ever!" book study too!

Includes:
27 pairs of rhyming picture cards
2 cut and paste rhyming sheets , perfect for assessment.

Three Ways to Play:
Rhyme Discrimination - arrange the cards in rhyming and none rhyming pairs and have students identify which pairs rhyme and which pairs don't.
Rhyme Identification - give students 6 to 12 cards and have them arrange the cards in rhyming pairs. The more cards you give them, the more challenging the activity!
Rhyme Production - arrange the cards face down and have students turn them over one at a time. Each time they turn a card over, have students brainstorm words that would rhyme with the picture on the card.
