What educators are saying

My daughter loved this project. She loves drawing and decorating - very happy the project covered multiple math skills. I will definitely buy from this seller again.
This project is so much fun! We begin working on it several days before Valentine's Day, and we conclude the project by decorating real cookies for our party.

Description

These project-based learning Valentine's Day activities will engage your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade students as they practice their math and writing skills in a fun and creative way. As part of this PBL task, students take on the role of bakery owners selling Valentine's Day Cookies.

Throughout the project they will:

  • double, triple, and halve recipes (working with fractions)
  • get their groceries (working with money)
  • create a schedule for baking the cookies (working with telling time and elapsed time)
  • multiply to fill orders (working with multiplication)
  • put cookies on the baking sheets in columns and rows (working with arrays)
  • compose process writing explaining how to decorate cookies (working with process writing)
  • write descriptive paragraphs (working with descriptive writing)
  • create a bar graph and analyze data (working with graphing and data analysis)
