•Declaration of Independence Detectives (10 pages) The purpose of this activity is to engage your students by having them become detectives and learn about the Declaration of Independence. It includes a teacher tips page, an introductory handout, student handout and questions, answer key, rubric and detective cards!
•Constitution Detectives (18 pages) Your students will become detectives and research the United States Constitution in a fun and meaningful way. This is a comprehensive unit that includes questions about the Constitution. The questions are all referenced by the Articles and Sections within the Constitution. This project will make learning about this important document more understandable for your students. It is written in user friendly terms, not 1780's language.
The five engaging activities below have students digging deeper into the famous documents. Students will be answering comprehension questions, doing a map activity, and understanding key vocabulary regarding the events that unfolded during this time period.
