Description

This 5-8 day unit helps scaffold learning for Jay Hosler's graphic novel The Way of the Hive, which follows a honeybee through her lifecycle. This unit can be used in a middle school science class, or an English class.

The graphic novel can be read by middle schoolers up to college students. The questions provided prompt careful, close reading, which can help students practice for testing, but also to ensure they understand the concepts covered in this well-researched book by an acclaimed science professor.
