Unit Prices in the Real World: "Let's Go Shopping!"

This plan includes a 30-slide PowerPoint, student table and answer key, video, and instructions. I have had lots of success teaching and reviewing unit rates with this plan. The students love it and so do the parents. As the students follow along with the PowerPoint, they complete the table and perform the calculations. In the end, the students discuss what makes a �BEST BUY� and look into factors other than price. The skills cover unit rates, unit conversions, adding, multiplying, rounding, money, determining better buys, tables (could add graphs), and critical thinking!
