Lobel has done it again with this delightful book, Uncle Elephant. This book companion makes it suitable for a Book Study, Guided Reading, Literacy Circles, reading rotations, or Reader’s Workshop. He’s given us a text for character study, for structure analysis, for stand-alone chapters that add up to a longer story, and more!

This resource is jam-packed with such tasks as some simple research with QR coded resources, summary forms, and games for grammar, writing, and phonics. The readability for the text is: 330 Lexile, Reading Grade Level 2, Reading Recover Level 20, DRA Level J (no affiliations.) The prep is very low for you; and there are colored as well as black ink printing options.
