What educators are saying

My students loved using this resource! It was fun for my students to color and write about their ugly Christmas Sweaters. Wonderful product!
This was a great station activity for my students for the last week of school before the Winter Break! Students then voted on the ugliest sweater and we did a writing activity that went along with the coloring pages! Great Resource!

Description

Don't miss out on Art with Jenny K.'s signature Pop Art interactive Christmas coloring pages featuring UGLY SWEATERS!! These interactive Pop Art holiday coloring pages are LOW PREP for teachers and tons of FUN for kids. Writing prompts are also included in this resource.

**If you want a small group ugly sweater activity, try like my Ugly Sweater / Holiday Sweater Table Posters HERE. These table posters make great holiday wall/door/bulletin board decorations!**

My set of ugly sweater coloring sheets includes pages with ugly sweater designs featuring:

  • Snowman
  • String of lights
  • Candy Canes
  • Wreath
  • Light Bulbs
  • Gift Package

For this set of "ugly" sweater coloring pages, I have included each design with lines breaking up the design and each without those lines. The added lines provide an extra challenge to children to add more patterns and work in smaller spaces—use these two options to differentiate among your students!

I have also included a blank design, with and without lines, so your students can come up with their own sweater designs if they want to!

These coloring pages will undoubtedly be a big hit with your students as they inspire thought, design, and tons of creativity!

No two interactive coloring sheets will ever come out the same—just like the kids who are creating them!

Interactive Coloring with Lines: Students add suggested patterns to each design. They spend a lot of thought and consideration when deciding where the patterns will go. Students also have to color small details, which improves their fine motor skills, which help with many things—handwriting being one example.

Interactive Coloring without Lines: I have also included each interactive design without the lines on them to allow for more differentiation among your students.

This resource includes step-by-step instruction with photographs of how to use the pattern-filled pages.

Writing:

As an art educator, artist, and lover of all things "artsy," I am a big proponent of "art for art's sake." My Pop Art interactive coloring sheets are designed to be used any time of year for the sake of making art! Great for art teachers, classroom teachers, homeschool parents, and more! I have included 2 writing prompts with 2 different line types to select from—one for older children and one for younger.

I am, however, a teacher, so I understand how hard-pressed classroom teachers are for time. You might not feel like you can give up precious lesson time to let the kids "color." I have included writing pages in this lesson to help make these art-themed activities more aligned to the common core standards. As one happy teacher commented, "I love that I can incorporate artwork in CCSS using these student-designed pictures. These pictures lend themselves to being a springboard for the writing process - addressing Core Standards. Very innovative!! Thank you!"

I have also included blank writing pages so you can give students any writing prompt you want.

Coloring isn't just for kids—adults love to color. Make sure you download your own set of FREE Pop Art Adult Coloring Sheets for Teachers.

You don't have to be an art teacher to infuse art into your classroom—you just need to know one (and that someone is me!). Thank you for supporting my work and infusing your classroom with art!
