Each state and region has a rich history and offer something unique to the country. How did the state form? How did it become part of the country? What significant events happened there? What's unique about it? These passages answer these questions and can help teach your students about the importance of each US state and the history behind it. Additionally, you'll find information about heritage, traditions, food, cultures, and trades.

This is an assortment of 55 Reading Comprehension worksheets written for a 6th grade level. They contain a passage for each state and territory, which is about one page in length, and multiple choice questions, open-ended questions, and critical thinking questions. They can be enjoyed by any grade level - and it's even great for adults!
