Types of Conflict with Songs

This presentation is one that I used with my students this year. We were reviewing types of conflict, and I needed a new, fresh perspective. I decided to use the song "Rude" by Magic in combination with the response song written from the father's point of view. I also found a daughter's response to the conflict. Students are taught how to write a short response to literature using the ACE technique, and they are asked to identify text based evidence which supports each character's point of view in the conflict.
