What are teachers saying about these Identifying Angles geometry worksheets?

How can I use these geometry worksheets?

  • Supplement your core curriculum
  • Reteach or remediation unit
  • Small group math intervention
  • Tutoring or homeschool
  • Test-prep

This Types of Angles packet covers:

  • Identifying angles in isolation as either obtuse, acute, right, or straight
  • Identifying angles within a 2D shape as either obtuse, acute, or right
  • Naming 2D shapes that have certain types of angles
  • Looking at the angles within their first and last names
  • Looking for real-life angles around the room

What does a “gradual release model” mean?

  • Sally’s lessons follow an “I Do, We Do, You Do” format.  A math concept is introduced whole group, students then practice with a partner, and finish with independent work time.  This deliberate scaffolding keeps students from feeling defeated or frustrated!
  • Sally’s packets also build slowly in difficulty.  We meet students where they are, regardless of level.  As students gain confidence, the problems get progressively harder.  Not all students will complete all problems and that is by design!
  • Each packet finishes with a “Challenge Page” for anyone who needs something extra!  Multiple pages of practice are included in every packet to avoid early finishers.

In addition, the instructional guide is jam-packed with geometry teaching hacks and best practices for identifying angles.  There is also a “Misconceptions” section that allows you to be one step ahead of mistakes students are most likely to make!

These geometry worksheets are common core aligned to 4.G.1 (Types of Lines & Types of Angles) and 4.G.2 (Attributes of 2D Shapes- includes identifying angles).
