Turkey, Turkey! Literacy Centers for 1st & 2nd Grade

These 6 Turkey, Turkey! Literacy Centers are perfect for 1st and 2nd grade students. Centers can be used in small groups under teacher direction or as independent centers.

All centers are provided in color or in black and white if you want to save ink.

In this unit, you will find:

Shades of a Feather - Students will match feathers to the correct synonym. There are 2 recording sheets for students to rank the words by intensity.

Thanksgiving Sentences - Students will create sentences. The teacher decides if students will work on using sentences with nouns, verbs, adjectives, and/or adverbs. There are 3 recording sheets provided.

Turkey Contractions - Students will match the contraction to the word meaning. 2 recording sheets are included.

Turkey Capitalization - Students will sort sentences by whether they have correct or incorrect capitalization. They will then rewrite incorrect sentences on the recording sheet.

Long E Turkey - Students match the word to the correct picture. A recording sheet is provided.

Turkey Commas - Students use a dry erase marker to add commas where needed. They then rewrite the sentences on the recording sheet.
