The following prepositions are targeted in this resource: in, on, under, behind, in front, next to, between, above.
The activities included within this resource are intentionally repetitive; they have been designed in a way that provides students with multiple opportunities to hear and use the target prepositions (in single words and phrases).
⭐️ Designed with research in mind.
The images included in this resource are also intentionally repetitive. The turkey is always the subject. The other objects have been kept consistent throughout the resource, so students can focus more on learning and using the prepositions, than on the objects themselves. Research by Nicholas et al, (2019) suggests that too much variability of objects and labels can be overwhelming when teaching prepositions. So the same objects have been used throughout. You can choose to further limit the amount of objects for some of the activities (such as when using the stimulus cards or the clip cards), if required.
