Description
In this lesson students will participate in a Trail of Tears simulation to truly understand the impact this event had on the Native Americans. The scenarios as well as the locations have been thoroughly researched and contain accurate historical information. This simulation is intended to have students practice empathy as they put themselves in the shoes of others to understand events in history. There are also some discussion questions to help debrief in order to help students process this simulation.
