Description

Do you have students who need extra help understand time limits, work speed, and transitions? The Visual Time monitor tool is effective for both general education students and students with learning disabilities including autism. Inspired by a countdown strip and a stop light, this helps students more fully understand the broad concept of time.

Also, included is a Work Monitor to help motivate your student or child to work at school or home. Some students have a difficult time understanding what "being ready to work" means. This tool helps students more fully understand how their mind, body and supplies need to work together to achieve a state of learning.

Included in this Visual Monitoring set are

  • 3 Versions of the Time Monitor with printable arrows
  • 3 Versions of the Work Monitor with printable arrows
  • Scaled versions in both a countdown up to 5 or down from 5
  • How to Directions

Choose which size of chart to use, a full page chart in larger font, a smaller more mobile chart or a smaller chart with extra descriptors. I use these for students to keep at their work areas, in their folders or even wear on a lanyard around the neck. Glue the printed chart on construction paper or cardstock. Laminate and cut out. Use the supplied arrow and tape it to a clothespin. This allows the teacher, parent or student to move the arrow to the appropriate time category. If a clothespin is too cumbersome, use a paperclip to easily move around.

These time and work monitoring tools are effective for both general education students and students with learning disabilities including autism.
