Description

$3.00 Grades 2-3

This 21-page package features a short poem about a little pig written by an anonymous author. It was published in 1914.

It’s a great resource to introduce word families, rhyme and repetition. It introduces students to words that have a common feature or pattern. The words may have some of the same combinations of letters in them and a similar sound. It is a great way to create a phonological awareness.

It includes an assignment to cut and paste the verses in the correct order. There is a comprehension worksheet as well as an assignment to put words in alphabetical order. There is also an introduction to nouns and verbs. It includes a writing assignment as well as an opportunity to illustrate the verses of the poem.

I hope your students have fun as they work their way through this package!
