Description

Teacher-prepared notes show students what is important and how ideas relate, and offer a model for how students should take notes themselves (Marzano et al., 2001). This fill-in-the-blanks graphic organizer begins by giving students a timeline overview of the major events that occurred prior and during the War of 1812. The notes also explain why this is sometimes referred to as "The War That Need Not Have Been." This product also goes into key vocabulary, Francis Scott Key and the "Star Spangled Banner," the Battle of New Orleans, and the major points of the Treaty of Ghent. Excellent for visual learners and for the interactive notebook.
