    Description

If you teach elementary music, you NEED this bundle: teaching the note names in the treble clef has never been more exciting! These activities range from printable, no-prep worksheets to digital games, to center activities. This is a growing bundle of products that are all tried and tested and beloved by hundreds of students.

    Here’s what you get:

    1. Treble Clef Dice Activity for Centers

This printable is an easy, low-prep center activity where students will have a blast rolling dice while learning the note names in treble clef! It makes for an excellent lesson to leave for a sub (musical or not!).

    2. Treble Clef Kaboom

The game KABOOM is everything! Students LOVE it and ask to play over and over again. This treble clef version is perfect to use in centers, small group instruction, as filler for a few minutes at the end of a class time, an activity for your sub-tub, and as assessment. KABOOM is super simple to play and, like Monopoly, can go on forever (or...use a timer to make sure it doesn't!).

    Here's how you play:

Place the cards (you will have cut out and laminated if possible) in a container or just upside down. Students take turns drawing cards and identifying the note on each one. If they name it correctly, they keep the card, if not, they put it back. If a student draws a KABOOM card, they have to put all their cards back. Be prepared for the devastation ;p

Whoever has the most cards at the end, is the winner!

    3. Google Slides Treble Clef Note Name Match Game

This is another NO-PREP activity! It’s an interactive music game filled with sweet treats that will get your students identifying, reading, matching, and spelling words using notes on the treble clef staff.

Each slide has three sets of notes/words per slide and students must match the correct note name to the note(s) on the staff.

It’s great to be played as a whole class, but can easily be shared on Google Classroom for students to play individually.

I can say from experience, this matching music game is a super fun and interactive way to review note names.

    4. Treble Clef Note Names: No-Prep Worksheet Packet

This is another print and go packet! The 10 page packet is filled with fun activities, delectable doughnuts and, of course, some hot chocolate for dunking!

Here’s a breakdown of what’s in the set:

    1. Visual explanation of note names on the lines and in the spaces
    2. Activity to create your own trick/phrase to remember the note names
    3. Name that note: Spaces
    4. Name that note: Lines
    5. This or that: Which pitch?
    6. Donut Dunk: Matching
    7. What's the Do-Note: Identify the note name (represented by donuts)
    8. Donut Forget the Hot Chocolate: Identify the note name (represented by hot chocolate)
    9. Name that Do-Note: Identify the note name (represented by whole notes)
    10. Draw the Do-Note: Practice writing notes on the staff

    5. Play Ball! A Treble Clef Matching Activity

My students go nuts for this one because they get to make their own “baseball cards!”

This PRINT and GO lesson couldn’t be simpler (another great activity to leave with a sub!). Here’s how it works:

    • Print a packet for each student.
    • Have students cut out the baseballs and glue/tape them to the baseball glove with the matching note.
    • If you want to extend, have them play the notes on a pitched instrument (xylophone, ukulele, recorder, etc.)

    6. I Have...Who Has...

I Have…Who Has… is a low-prep game that is guaranteed to keep your students engaged and having a blast while learning and reinforcing the note names in treble clef. This version is decked out for baseball season and is an informal way to assess for student understanding as well as a great activity to leave with a sub (two different answer keys provided).

Included with your purchase are suggestions on how to prepare for the game as well as directions for play and extension suggestions.

    7. Treble Clef "OO-NO" (an Uno inspired game)

This version of “OO-NO” follows the traditional rules of the game (detailed directions included), but uses notes and words in treble clef in lieu of numbers. This is a perfect game to play to support and reinforce reading notes in the treble clef. Elementary music students will delight in playing this game–learning without even realizing!

The game includes the following notes/words on cards in red, yellow, green & blue:

    • Middle C
    • Low D
    • E (low & high)
    • F (low & high)
